I bought two of these to use with the Power Delivery (PD) interfaces on my Anker surge protected outlets. They charge my iPhone super fast and they feel very sturdy compared to the default Apple cable shipped with my iPhone.
However, there are some noteworthy challenges you may want to consider.
- They are not compatible with my partner's case so be aware this won't work universally with all cases.
- The connection is very solid once fully plugged in. This isn't a problem when I use it in the living room but I also have one by my bedside and when I wake up and am tired it's a real struggle to disengage this plug. Sounds silly but I literally used my teeth to pry it off this morning in my half awake state before stumbling to the kitchen for my coffee.
Overall I'm on the fence as to whether I really needed these but I wanted the right angle to keep from damaging the cable when using my phone in bed. I probably wouldn't get them again but if the noted challenges aren't a concern for you then I do recommend them as sturdy and fast charging when used with PD connections.
