The charger looks and feels well made. From single digit percent battery power it charges my S7 edge in about an hour and a half to an hour and 45 minutes while simultaneously charging one of my kids' iPads. That is the same time it takes the Samsung quick charger that came with my phone to charge just my phone, so I am pleased. I don't use any apple products but my kids are still wowed by how quickly their iPads charge. I believe it takes them about 3 to 3 and half hours even with 2 of them charging at the same time. I am happy with the chargers. Now we will see if they withstand the test of time...

9/16/2020 This charger no longer works on any of my kids' iPads. It still works great on my Samsung phone and my Bose bluetooth speaker, but within a month or two it stopped charging one of the kids' iPads. Then another, and finally another. That's 3 months worth total on the 3 iPads I got these for.

I came to buy this particular charger after having similar experiences with cheaper chargers and the iPads. Prior to buying these I did a search for the best iPad charger, and this Anker charger was named in more than one article, so this is what i chose. I got 2 of these chargers and the result is the same on both. Neither charger has been dropped, damaged, or abused.

I have chargers for my phone. I only got this charger for the iPads. After 3 months it is not doing what I had hoped it would do. I guess my only option at this point is to get genuine apple chargers. I didn't buy the iPads. They came from the kids' mom.
Aside from the $30 wasted on these chargers, it also gripes me that I have to put money in the pockets of the people at apple.

I personally do not recommend these chargers for anyone with an apple device. If others had a better experience and you feel it's worth taking the chance, be my guest and good luck. I would advise just going with an apple charger from the start. If you are using this with any other manufacturer's device you may be ok. Other than the iPad issue it seems like a good charger.

Originally, I use this as a device to charge my PlayStation 4 controllers. For whatever reason, the ports on my PlayStation 4 won't physically charge the controllers. But with a sturdy USB cable, and this charger - the controllers are fully charged in an hour! Since I don't have to charge the controllers excessively, I also use the charger Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G, and it does as equally if not better of a job than the fast charger does that came with it! Also, the indicator light on the charger is pretty bright and can serve as a nightlight, but not recommended to use if light bothers you when you're trying to sleep! Very happy as always, with the quality that Anker produces!

Great Little Wall Charger. Fast but Could be faster. Perfect for travel. Love Anker Products. Anker stands by their products and replaces anything for free as long as it's under warranty (usualy 12-18 months depending on the product). There is 1 thing I hate about Anker customer support, they are completely impersonal. You'll read this grievance in my most of my recent reviews, I'll explain and let you decide for yourself if Anker Support could have, should have, treated me better. Just bought multiple items as Christmas gifts for 16 family members (16 power banks, 16 lightning cables, 8 micro USB cables, 8 Wall Chargers, 5 Car Chargers) Not only did I spend a lot of money but I gave Anker 16 new customers that are already purchasing more Anker products. So when my personal 6ft Powerline+ lightning cable broke after a few months of minimal use (exposing the wire) I sent in my request for a new cable. I explained how much I love Anker, how I just got my entire family Anker products and got Anker a bunch of new customers and I was surprised the cable broke so easily. I asked if they could replace my cable with the 6ft Powerline+ II, figuring it may be more durable. Their reply was surprising, they wanted to refund me for my cable so I could purchased the newer cable. They did not offer a discount for the new cable, so essential they were not willing to give me the newer cable for free, it would have cost me a few more dollars and honestly I can't imagine it really costing Anker more than a few cents for the upgraded cable. This is such a huge turn off, I'm the customer you want, not just a guy who buys a cable, but someone who buys many, many products from you, gives your products to all of my family members, and promotes your products to everyone... So many of my friends have also gotten Anker cables based on my recommendation. Highly disappointed in your customer service skills Anker, still love your products but I don't plan on promoting your products until you learn how to treat your GREAT CUSTOMERS BETTER.

All in all, if you are looking for a compact, reasonably priced charger for high end smart phones, and you don't want to enroll in a PhD course to figure out the subtleties of charging technologies, then this one if for you.

I don't want to take a PhD course in Smart Phone charging, and the various standards (Quick Charge, PD, IQ3, etc) are standards that I just ignore. It is up to the industry to adopt a single standard instead of bombarding the consumer with jargon and BS.

What I can say about this charger is that my iPhone 11 Pro Max charges about 1% per minute (the charging rate drops as the batteries approach 100% so the charging time is ~ 2 hrs). The same times are also true of my Samsung Note 10.

Maybe there are faster chargers available (if you take the PhD course, you will know the answer to this question) but this one is fast enough.

Moreover, this dual USB charger is barely larger than the single USB charger it replaced (also Anker). The prongs fold away, so it fits nicely in the bottom of a travel bag. I bought several and gave them as presents to friends whom also did not have time to take the PhD course in charging.

It's my own fault for not checking specs for physical size, so I thought it would be good to warn other that this is rather large. It's actually larger than an iPad charging block, which surprised me. I've seen other 2 outlet chargers which were just a bit bigger than an OEM iPhone charger, so I hoped this was similar. However, I assume the size is required for the power output, but it's bigger than I hoped. Again, my fault, so I'll keep it, even though I'll likely buy something smaller to travel with. Overall, it's a typical, high quality Anker product that seems very well made.

EDIT: Oct 30th I received a replacement from Anker and this unit seems to work great. It even charges my OnePlus 5t fairly quick where as the 1st unit wouldn't charge at all.
The customer service team (Anita) have also been great in resolving the issue.

It does work but just not as good as I expected from Anker.
I've purchased Anker products before for myself, friends and relatives. Always been happy with them. This time tho I'm not sure I got a lemon or what but I'm quite disappointed with this charger.
As soon as I connect a phone to it displays "charging slowly". Now I know you got to have good quality cables as well. I have tried it with AmazonBasics, Aukey and original cables that came with the phones. Oneplus 5t, Pixel2, Essential phone, iPhone 7.
Some display the "charging slowly" some don't but they all take a really long time to charge. I had a Aukey charger before and always got a quick charge. Unfortunately a year later died and figured I'd go for the Anker brand this time.
Now I know this does not have Quick Charge 3.0 and quite frankly don't care for that but it should still charge faster than a cheap dollar store one.

We now use these exclusively to power all our USB devices. I've only had one fail over all the ones I've bought, and it was due to being so badly abused. Although I can't confirm if the power is clean or noisy I can confirm that they charge very consistently. We've never had a problem and have them in pretty much every room, as well as given them to a lot of friends and family.

The product is actually a very high quality product, it's not just the right one for my needs. Inconsistent charging.

Inconsistent charging, has occurred multiple times, I plug in LG G5 and it will only increase the charge slightly (approximately 5%-10%) within an hour. No apps are running and phone showing that it is plugged in. Unplugging usb and reinserting remedies the issue but I don't want to have to check on my phone after I plug it in to ensure it is charging. Happens with my wifes phone as well. This has never happened with the charger that came with phone or with a power bank that I own. Can't say that I would recommend this product.
