I saw a review listed where a person left a bad review simply because they did not understand how the case operated and they clearly had not installed it. A couple of points: The case is in two separate pieces: top and bottom. The pieces are not hinged or in any way connected. The top of the protective case fits perfectly and snuggly over AirPod Pro2 case. It does not easily come off and is surprisingly secure by design. The bottom part of the case fits snuggly over the bottom. No adhesion such as tape is necessary. It is a precision fit. The built in rocker latch keeps the top and bottom securely fastened. There is a built in magnet on the top and also bottom of the case where the latch is attached. They are mounted where similar charges repel one another. When you unlatch the top the opposing magnets act as spring mechanism thereby opening the case. Very clever. All charge ports are easily accessed. This is really a well designed case and I am admittedly a hard to please individual.

This product is a must buy. I wish I bought it a long time ago. I would still have my other AirPod pros. I am very hard on my headphones they’re constantly following you and then you’re going to stuff and I feel that’s this case will be the future cases that I buy for my headphones by far the best case I’ve ever bought, the clip has a magnet that holds it in it. Also clips in the place comes with a carabiner very durable, hard plastic. It felt soft when I first got it but once you put the headphone case in it is perfect….Update 1month in and still love this case and i get so many compliments on it and they are shocked at how much it cost and how durable and that it has 2 different parts to hold the lid shut and it stays tightly shut and very easy to open!!! I keep updating as time goes on.

So… it initially feels and looks great. It stuck on there well and I thought I was gonna be able to give it 5 stars. Then, after only about 10 presses, the lock started sticking in the up position every single time. I would have to push it back down for it to clamp again. The lock is plastic, btw. It feels super cheap and flimsy. Also, the key ring and carabiner are both plastic, so that’s super likely to break. I ended up returning this about an hour after I received it, because I know that lock issue is going to drive me nuts. I ordered something that doesn’t use a lock, because I have yet to come across a case that has a metal lock. If that sort of thing doesn’t bother you, then I would still recommend this case, because it does look really cool, and for the most part, the actual case feels sturdy and not too bulky.

This case has been my preferred case as it’s been so, so very reliable! It hasn’t cracked under pressure from heavy use. It has kept the AirPods and case firmly in place. Sure it’s suffered some scuffs but it remains completely relevant. Easy to clean as well. Not so easy to remove thus it has a plug piece to help. Sometimes I don’t have one handy so I just use the charger port. I haven’t needed to remove the case as it charges perfectly fine with a MagSafe or generic charger so long as it’s a strong output that is intended for the model. It’s been quicker for me to plug it in as my drop charger isn’t strong enough to quick charge. Thanks so very much ! It has been a perfect buy and the only case I’ve ever really needed.

My son and I were trying to figure out how in the world the lid popped open upon releasing the catch. I could clearly see there was no spring, but still, I wondered how in the word the lid sprung open. My son noticed a magnet. Then, I quickly realized the opposing magnets were acting as a spring. BRILLIANT DESIGN!

I read several reviews that used double sided tape to hold the top of the EarPod case inside the the case top. I used one of my favorite things - rubber cement. It will hold it in as long as you want it to, but when you no longer want to use the protective case it makes the EarPod case easily removed. The case is extremely good and easy to use.
