I read several reviews that used double sided tape to hold the top of the EarPod case inside the the case top. I used one of my favorite things - rubber cement. It will hold it in as long as you want it to, but when you no longer want to use the protective case it makes the EarPod case easily removed. The case is extremely good and easy to use.
