Updated - I did not realize that I had the wrong charger for the airpods - the airpods I purchased needed to be plugged in, they did not have the wireless charging case. I'm old lol. However, customer service reached out to me as they were concerned about the problems I was having, they were super helpful. The charger was great for the phone and watch and I'm sure would have worked if I had a wireless charging case. I like the foldable design.

I tried this with old airpods, 1st generation, and they didn't charge. Got new generation 2, hoping they would charge, ot lists them as compatible, but they did not charge either. I would have returned but after waiting for new airpods I missed the window.
