I haven’t really experimented with many AirPod cases but this one is solid. I work outdoors and drop my AirPods quite a bit. But the material on this case seems to be strong from the one time I’ve dropped so far. It a tad bulky - bulkier than the spigen (carbon fiber looking) case I had on my 1st gens. If you want it for sleekness I’m sure they make much sleeker cases but the environment I use my pods in is outside & sometimes at heights so it suites my needs. They’re still okay to throw in your pocket too though. All in all it’s a solid case with good materials for the price. & I really like the latch on the side for keeping them shut. It makes a nice click sound when closing them. Then once closed you don’t have to worry about them opening. It takes a little getting use to if you haven’t had a latch before but I think it’s a nice touch. Overall I like the case. It’s what I expected from the photos. Also you have to place the adhesive for the upper piece. It comes with 2 pieces of adhesive which I didn’t notice until I had already put the top on mine. It works fine with the 1 but maybe the other is for either an extra or for just extra adhesion. Either way I’m just a regular guy that does regular things and I like them for work. Tough, bulkier case for protection for at work but a sleek enough design and look that looks good when not at work.
