5.0 out of 5 starsNO SPOILAGE WITH INDIVIDUAL SERVINGS--TASTES GREAT TOO!

I'm so tired of buying family sized containers of several food products , like hummus, because that's all that's available .You open it and eat some, then what? Put it back in the refrigerator and eat it every day whether you want it again so quickly or not, hoping you can eat it all before it spoils? I always end up throwing at least half away. Same thing happens to me when I buy fresh avocado. I eat some and the rest turns black. I have to say, fresh avocado alone isn't my favorite food but I try because it's suppose to be so good for us.
I saw these individual servings and decided to give them a try, hoping I wouldn't be wasting good money throwing most away. I hadn't eaten a lot of guacamole - usually only in a restaurant - and not for yrs,, but remembered I liked it when I'd had it and it was, maybe, a way to eat some “healthy” avocado.
I love these single servings! I liked the flavor and consistency. I've spread the guacamole on bread alone or added it to sandwiches. For ex: The other night, I napped until it was hours late for dinner and awoke very hungry. I didn't want to cook so I looked to see what I could come up with quick & easy and not too heavy since it was so late.
I started out with a large oval piece of sour dough. It was frozen so I rubbed a little, refrigerated & hard, butter on it and threw it in the microwave for 25 seconds to defrost without drying the bread out. Then I smeared one serving of this guacamole on the bread. I followed that by adding a couple sliced black olives spread out over the guacamole . I then covered it with a heavy layer of fresh baby spinach and added some sliced fresh tomato on top of that. Well.... that gave me a somewhat healthy, mostly vegetable dinner but I figured I needed some protein too. Looking to see what else I could find, I found some sliced deli roast beef. Ordinarily I wouldn't eat it--it fluoresceses--but my brother had bought some, and it was sitting in the deli drawer justing looking at me. So I took one slice. I washed it to wash off whatever chemicals I could, dried it and added it on top. I cut the whole "mess" in half. I had no idea what I'd ended up with but figured I hadn't added anything I didn't like. I ate it as an open-faced sandwich. Surprise!! It was really good!
Another one was eaten with some left over tuna salad also on sour dough. I didn't really have enough
tuna salad for a sandwich, but with the guacamole it worked out great and tasted good too. Who'd-a -thought?
I have only one cup left of the four that came in this package. I will be buying more. I like the guacamole
and found I could use it in unusual ways --other than just snacking, which would require adding, un-needed carbs & calories like chips or crackers.
If, like me, you're not afraid to experiment, this works really well using just whatever you happen to have on hand to create a meal. Definitely recommend!
