Tighter fit than expected

I found these (size XL) to be a slightly tighter fit, and the narrower waistband doesn't seem as comfortable (these are not the old style wider waistband with 'Hanes' woven into it, as shown on the male models).

I'll keep them (since I washed them all), but they're probably going into 'backup' / 'laundry day' rotation.

One thing I'll say in their favor... being a little smaller, if they stretch like the others can do, they shouldn't slide down your waist as the other ones can.

Just not the same anymore

This is the second time I've ordered these Hanes comfort band drawers and the second time I've had to donate them to charity because they...just...don't...fit. I've worn XL for YEARS in this product line but suddenly their new XL is too small and I had to donate them because I waited too long. So I ordered 2XL this time and, guess what? They aren't any larger than the old XL Hanes I'm trying to replace! And they're not as soft. And they don't stretch the same. And NO, I haven't gotten any fatter. And yes, I waited too long to return. So I'm done with these and will now have to find something else to wear under my britches.

The worst underwear in the world

There are so many things wrong, I'll just dive into it... 1) the waist seam is thick and is folded over to create the sewn seam on the inside, the material is scratchy to the point that I tried wearing them inside out which is only slightly better and would show the large white printed labeling if I were to bend over. 2) the bottom of the legs has the same folded over seam as the waist, and these ride up and create a noticeable ring around your legs if your pants are too tight, 3) there is no stretch at all and they are small, I feel like I am a man putting on little boys underwear, 4) the color is not black, its more like a washed out black as if the color faded, and this was before the wash, after the first wash they are even more grey-black. And then there is the issue that the packs are a mix of actual grey briefs, so I have dark grey and light grey when I really wanted at least some black. I would have returned but I was unfortunately away working and the return window closed by the time I washed them and wore them for the first time. My bad. I guess I can never buy hanes again if this is the kind of bad design and bad production they are known for now.

Tag. Horrible placement, scratchy, not removable

Update, you can use a hairdryer to heat and remove the tag without damaging the fabric. Some unsightly residue remains, but who's looking?

These are otherwise comfortable, but have a sharp nylon Hanes tag on the right hip. I usually can just pull these off but this thing is glued with the souls of 100 men. It took the entire swatch of fabric with it. Seriously, I want to know what this glue is for future projects in the garage, but why did you have to use it to glue a small nylon blade to the side of my underwear?

I have clearly damaged these now, and can't send them back.

Don't put scratchy things onto underwear should really be obvious. But Hanes felt it was a fundamental necessity that the inside of my belt loop be able to know what brand is covering my ..... Well you get it.

I have been wearing Hanes briefs for decades. It seemed they were moving in the direction of greater comfort, until this design. The stitching on the waist band cuts into your skin, especially under a belt. I am surprised at how many reviews are positive. These will be going straight into the trash.

I have been buying this style Hanes brand for the better part of the psst ten years. I just received these a week or so ago. I wore my first pair after washing them. The quality of the material is not as soft as previous pairs. The bandless waist overlook stitching scratches against bare skin. I threw them all away and will never buy a Hanes product again.

Nothing comfort at all

These are definitely not soft. Or comfortable. The have a folded over seam for the elastic band that is rough with the stitching on the inside, exactly where you don’t want it. The version with the regular elastic band is much smoother at the seam and the rest of the cotton is less like a cheap hotel towel and more like normal soft cotton Don’t know if these are seconds or knockoffs but definitely will NOT buy again. I washed them then wore a couple pairs so can’t send em back. And now have a nice raw itchy spot on my back from them. ( I’ve used Hanes for years, will go back to getting them at a store)

"Comfort Soft"? Not so much. They appear to have a rolled over band but a very careless seam on the inside that is extremely irritating. Of course I washed and wore this Christmas gift days too late to return... Disappointing.
