Tighter fit than expected

I found these (size XL) to be a slightly tighter fit, and the narrower waistband doesn't seem as comfortable (these are not the old style wider waistband with 'Hanes' woven into it, as shown on the male models).

I'll keep them (since I washed them all), but they're probably going into 'backup' / 'laundry day' rotation.

One thing I'll say in their favor... being a little smaller, if they stretch like the others can do, they shouldn't slide down your waist as the other ones can.

Just not the same anymore

This is the second time I've ordered these Hanes comfort band drawers and the second time I've had to donate them to charity because they...just...don't...fit. I've worn XL for YEARS in this product line but suddenly their new XL is too small and I had to donate them because I waited too long. So I ordered 2XL this time and, guess what? They aren't any larger than the old XL Hanes I'm trying to replace! And they're not as soft. And they don't stretch the same. And NO, I haven't gotten any fatter. And yes, I waited too long to return. So I'm done with these and will now have to find something else to wear under my britches.

Comfort band is useless if stitching is so rough

Sent these right back after opening. The edge stitching on the inside of the waistband is really, really rough and potentially itchy. Feels like they used monofilament fishing line instead of thread. At this price, I expect that the fabric won't be the softest available, but seriously, did they have to go out of their way to find the roughest thread available for the seams??? At a certain point corporations start shooting themselves in the foot with these ridiculous cost cutting decisions.

The first things I noticed when trying them on was they seemed tight for a large and didn't stretch very much. The other thing I noticed was that for cotton underware, they felt rough. I would not recommend these. My expectations were much too high based on the cost per pair. In this case, you get what you pay for. Comfort is paramount for underware.

This is at least the second time in years I've tried Hanes, and again was disappointed. Yeah, the price is very cheap,
I washed every pair so I won't return them, I will donate them. The waste band is very scratchy, worst stitching I've ever come across for underwear, next morning they were all bagged out, and when I put them on the day before, they were way too tight, with very little stretch, but I tried them anyway. If Cheap is what you want, these are it. I'd order a size bigger, my larges fit like mediums.
I just wanted to add this in case anyone was trying to find a good value and price for some underwear,
I have bought a brand called 5Mayi three different times and they are the best for price I have found, they are comfortable and stretchy and don't ride up, I've been wearing 5Mayi for a few years now, I give them 5 stars. I just tried Hanes for something different, the pictures made them look like quality, but the end result was disappointment.

I've been buying these underwear for years now, but recently the sizing has changed drastically, and I don't mean the overall sizing, I mean the individual sizing in the pack.

Let me explain.

I bought a pack of six which came with two Black, two Light Blue and two Grey. The Light Blue ones fit exactly to size, are comfortable and great to wear all day. The Grey pair are tight, as if they're an entire size smaller than listed, they're wearable for a short time but certainly not the same size as the blue ones. The Black pair are hilariously small. Like nearly two sizes smaller than the ones I ordered. They squeeze the life out of me and ended up in the trash almost right away.

The inconsistent sizing will have me buying another brand for my next choice.
