4.0 out of 5 starsHolds thick iPhone 14 wallet case with 365 stand but not very tall

I consider this stand a success in terms of it holding my very thick iPhone 14 wallet case with circular 365 stand also on the back.
This particular iPhone case is a crossbody case that also has a detachable dangling wrist strap on it, and when on the stand in its highest stand position, the wrist strap just barely grazes or dangles freely above the rim around the base stand when tilted up some. The part of the case that attaches to the actual phone is not in the stand. The back section wallet case is what is being held. That part does not actually fit wholly inside the area that is U-shaped, but it is able to rest securely on and inside that section.
This particular stand is able to have the actual holder part rotate all of the way over to the other side of the support rod, so it can be flat and even at a negative angle until it hits the support rod. It also rotates 365 horizontally. These are also terrific features.
I sometimes work at our glass dining room table, and it stands perfectly on this glass table without being loose at all. It also doesn’t budge off the glass or have the actual base move if I knock into it lightly with my hand or grab it and try to wiggle it side to side. Yet, it is easily movable if I pick up on it, so it is not stuck to the glass in some negative way.
I also was one of the people that had the screw not screwing in when I first tried it. What the screw is actually screwing into is the white insert that goes into the silver rod. Make sure when you are putting it together that you have the silver rod and the holder section completely together when attaching it to the base. I turned the whole assembled thing upside down and installed the screw from that direction, going straight down into the stand and rod.
I was boxing this thing back up to return because I thought it was broken when I tried screwing it again. If you are handling the parts before the screw is installed, it looks like the white insert is what comes out of the silver rod for the telescoping function, but that is not how it actually works. The plastic white sheathing thing stays in the exterior silver rod, and a smaller silver rod telescopes inside of that white plastic sheathing thing. In order for the screw to be successfully placed, it has to screw into that white sheathing insert. That white thing does not move up and down when telescoping.
Lastly, I am disappointed in how not high this thing can go. I got it to avoid tech neck and issues with my neck in general so that I would not be looking down all of the time to my phone. While having the phone raised up this far is an improvement, it was not the total solution I was hoping for. It would need to come up a couple more inches at least to be looking at a more natural angle with no strain on the neck when seated. I like the stand enough, particularly for my very thick wallet case, that I will keep it, but right now, as I am typing this, I have it on a 2-3/4” box to raise it up more to use better.
