First-time installation was perfect

It's important to get the correct size since not all models of the Galaxy S21 are the same size. This product, when I chose "S21 (6.2 inch)", fit my phone, which self-identifies as "Galaxy S21 5G" with model name "SM-G991U1", perfectly. The kit has three protectors and my first attempt produced a flawless result, leaving two more in the box.

My previous technology was a "wet process" with a TPU protector. It invariably took four tries to get one without bubbles. And then, when a case was installed, edges and particularly corners would come up. With this product, my first installation produced no bubbles. (I'd look at both the video referenced on the product page as well as the vendor's videos on YouTube as they emphasize different things.) Unlike the wet process, which required several minutes of squeegeeing, this product magically self-adheres! (I did have to initiate that process with my finger.) It then left a small bubble I quickly eliminated with the squeegee. The wet process requires overnight drying before installing a case and I followed that protocol for this one as well although it's not mentioned in the instructions. I now suspect that was unnecessary. In any case my JETech case has not caused any problems with the protector and I don't anticipate any future problems. Because the plastic alignment tray provides such precise positioning on the screen, there is a tiny line betwee the edges of the protector and the case itself, protecting the corners/edges from turning up.

Initially I could not get biometric fingerprint scanning to work. However, about a month after installing, I could. Perhaps this interval of time somehow helped. I much prefer fingerprint scanning to face recognition as the latter seems not to be used as authentication for apps.

With two more protectors in the box, I fully expect the protector to last the life of my phone. I have finally found an effective screen protector technology and will buy this brand for all future phones.

No instructions included in package -- fingerprint reader will not read at all

This is the second "brand" of glass screen protector I have tried on my Samsung S21 5g. Even with the settings changed it will not scan any of my fingerprints - reader repeatedly says "make sure your finger is pressed inside the circle" and reads 0% regardless of pressure from thumb or fingers. "Moistening" (aka licking) one's fingers in public places to access a phone is a non-starter for me, so I did even not try that.

Sadly my conclusion is the plastic films that work with the fingerprint reader are junk at screen protection and the tempered glass is good at screen protection, but will not ever read fingerprints.

I opened the package right away, and was very happy that all the things needed for install are included in the kit. The positioning frame is a game changer ... no more water film that has to be squeegied out from under the glass!

The install was effortless. I had ONE tiny dust bubble that I eliminated be slowly and gently lifting the glass, clearing the particle, and resetting the glass. Camera piece is trickier because it's so small, and doesn't always drop straight down. Not the product's fault. I could have used a little water and squeegee if it didn't work.

Two phones went flawlessly. Don't use fingerprint reader, so cannot comment on that part.

For Android users, who are having trouble with Fingerprint reader

The screen protector is nice and people on my right and left can't see my screen. I can talk to my side chick without worrying about anything, lol.

If you are having trouble with the Fingerprint reader do this- So your android phone allows you to add 4 or 5 fingerprints, instead of doing different fingers, do the same finger 4 times by clicking on +fingerprint and make sure you cover all the sides of your finger and keep adding the same finger that you use. My fingerprint scanner works perfectly fine now

item was well boxed and Amazon shipping was fast. Screen protector was really easy to install, i have done few so for me this was easy. for some it might be cumbersome. easy to follow instructions were included and were easy to follow. came with all the accessory to clean and install which was great.
Now to the screen protector it's self, i am not sure if this is tempered glass, it might be but it's really thin which was fine by me as all i need is privacy screen and one that reads fingerprints. not disappointed with either of those things. i did remove my fingerprint prior to installation and added after which took a bit to work but it works. i have returned 5 privacy screens so far as they all say fingerprints work but they never do. first day and been happy with the fingerprint sensor. privacy wise it works good, i have had better but it does what it's supposed to from the sides, if someone looking from the top this thing does not do anything but great from the side view. overall happy with the purchase but if you need more of a screen protector and not a privacy screen i would look for something more sterdiar.

I am old school and prefer someone else put it on an electronic store to install it. I decided to give it a chance and use this product. I will say that the method that is used with providing a plastic frame to put over the phone as a guide is genius! I've had it for about three weeks and it has a super clear screen but I have not tried the fingerprint ID yet.

All of them are a bit of hassle to apply, that's why the 4 star, it's as good as any other. I don't why they include 2 or 3, i guess to make you feel your getting a deal. Once it's on it won't come off unless you break it
and by then you're getting a new phone anyway.
