All tempered glass screen protectors I have used come with sticky-backed paper guides to assist in placement of the protector on the phone screen, and a dust/particle remover to remove dust particles that might otherwise prevent the protector from completely sealing to the screen, and thus result in air bubbles that are difficult or impossible to remove and that distract from what’s on the screen. The guides are supposed to attach to the protector and the phone before the protector’s shield for the sticky backing has been peeled away, so that the user can carefully position the protector on top of the screen, stick on the guides tightly enough that they stay in place when the screen protector is folded away from the phone screen, the backing is removed from the sticky side of the protector, and then folded back over the phone screen in exactly the right place. Easier said than done!
Many products come with screen wipes to remove dust and fingerprints from the screen. This product includes only guides and sticker dust/particle remover. No wipes.
Since I had purchased a new phone for both me and my wife, I immediately used two of the three protectors that come in the box, along with their guides and dust/particle removers. The difficulty I encountered was that although the guides were easily attached to to each protector, and although I pressed the guides to the side and back of each phone, when I attempted to fold each protector back from each phone and remove the backing, the guides came loose from each phone, leaving me no choice but to try to position the protector without the guides. Not easy!
The good news is that each protector’s sticky surface smoothly attached to both phone’s’ screens, without any bubbles. (Usually, I’m pushing, lifting and prodding the protector to get all the bubbles out.)
All’s well. Perhaps stickier guides?
