I’ve had this for about 4 months now. I own 2, one for me and one for my wife.
Does it charge your stuff? Usually. I mainly use it for my Apple Watch and that normally works fine. Throw it on at night, it’s charged by morning. It also works well for my AirPods Pro. Throw that on the charger, it gets charged up. But honestly using more than one charger at a time makes things tricky. If you just charge one item it’s fine, but once you add a second item it becomes a TRICKLE charge.
BUT:
FORGET about trying to charge your phone with it! Not only is the actual charging ring soooo precise that you have to nudge your phone by millimeters to get it “properly centered” on the charging pad (this is probably different if you have the MagSafe on your phone), but it literally only charges my phone up to about 70% (iPhone XS Max) overnight. Overnight!! This is regardless if I have my watch charging, too, mind you.
And before I get told that I need to use a beefier power supply, I’m using a fast charging wall wart with it. It’s plenty powerful and charges anything else I have just fine.
I bought one for me and my wife, and her watch stopped charging on hers altogether. We have no idea why, but it won’t charge whatsoever. Mine glitched this morning (this is what prompted me to write the review), where my Apple Watch didn’t charge at all last night. Strange. I took off the watch and put it back on, nothing. So I unplugged the whole charger and replugged it in, and now it’s charging the watch. Wild!
It’s a great concept, great for travel, but this needs to be honed in. It really is too bad Apple doesn’t make one of these kinds of things, that would be amazing. I think this is v2 of this product, but I’d wait until they release a v3. They need a beefier power supply and they need to fix whatever the issue is with the Apple Watch. It’s happened on both of our chargers now, so this isn’t a fluke.
