I purchased the Anker USB C Cable 60W 6ft on December 25, 2021 and for the last month, it has taken forever to charge my phone. And, it's not that it's slow, but if you move the cable it goes in and out of charging. It seems like it's a wire issue at where it bends.
The problem is when you are holding your phone while it charges the cable bends where it plugs into the phone especially while you are in bed.
Thankfully this new cable bends but it doesn't pinch thereby protecting the wires inside. These bio-based cables are made of 40% mixture of plant materials. I have no idea what that means, but it does make it more difficult to "pinch" the cable. When it curves it looks more like an 'S' curve providing protection for the wires inside.
Honestly, I've only had my new cable for one day, but I can already see the benefits of this type of cable and I hope this with becomes the standard for all companies making these cables.
If you are tired of buying a new cable ever year or two, I highly suggest giving Anker a try. I've been buying Anker for years and for the most part I really enjoy their products, but that last Anker cable I bought only last 18 months and that is crazy. I paid $18 for the other Anker cable I bought in 2021. I paid $13 for this new cable and I think it will give me years of daily charging.
