I bought this originally because I trust(ed) the Anker brand and they’ve always pulled through on reliable products that you can actually depend on (note the euify security issues)

I thought this was going to be around the size (maybe a bit larger) than the old 5W Apple charger. I thought this was impressive given that it has 30W of charging in a small, portable charger. I travel a lot on the weekends so having a small charger that I can keep on hand is important for me.
Now, when I say this thing is SMALLER than the original 5 watt Apple charger that came with iPhones from a time ago, I mean it is smaller and looks better in EVERY dimension. You can FEEL how powerful the charger is with the new GaN charging because of how dense this little charger is. It’s so small and compact, I’m actually surprised they were able to make it feel so robust. Anker has really knocked it out of the park with this charger. I’m wholly impressed and am going to get my girlfriend one to pair with her iPhone! Thanks so much for making such a great product!

The product looks better in person than it does in the photos too. It’s really compact and the usb-c port feels very secure. Will update after some use!

Good charge but hing already broke (3 months in)

Good size. Has an amazing fast charge for various electronic devices (iPad, iPhone, Samsung Z Fold, Nintendo Switch), but definitely a strain on battery healthy of smaller devices like phones. Unfortunately the hinge already broke 3 months in.

I take good care of my products and put them up in a case when not using. I was simply taking this out of the wall, folded the hinge in, heard a louder pop (than usual), and now the hinge is loose. This makes it’s a bit odd trying to plug into the wall now, but charge still works fine. Essentially there is no fixed closed/open position. Didn’t expect this to last forever, but also didn’t expect it to break so soon.

Malfunctioning after only two months

I use this charger while traveling and I noticed that it didn't work when I plugged it in this weekend. I unplugged the charger and rotated it 180 degrees and plugged in again and it worked until the charger moved slightly. So I tried a different outlet with the same results. I made a quick trip to an electronic store and got a new USB c to c cable and the same behavior happened. I was thinking maybe the metal prongs that retract out were not making contact but after trying for several minutes to get it to work I found that the only way the charger would reliably stay charging is by pulling it out halfway and then making sure it wasn't charging my phone at the fast speed. When I got home I tried other phones and cables and had the same results. So after only two months this this is useless. Do not buy these chargers they are flawed.

Almost Bricked My iPad

I used this to charge my iPad Pro using the original Apple USB-C cable. When I went back to see if it was done charging, I noticed that my iPad screen wouldn’t come on. The charger severely overheated. When I unplugged it from the outlet, there was a pretty huge spark and the charger itself smelled like burnt plastic. I had to be on the phone with Apple Support for about an hour to try to figure out how to get my iPad to turn back on. I used the original Apple charger to finish charging it on the same outlet without issue. I’ve never previously had issues with Anker products, but this was a pretty bad experience.

Update: Anker contacted me to offer a solution and then I never heard back. I’m updating this review as it appears their customer service is terrible.

This is my own fault but…I had the previous version of this and it was lavender gray. I bought four of them along with four six foot lavender gray cables. They were a perfect match for the iPhone 13. When I saw this newer version, I guess I just assumed they were the same color. When they arrived, they were a totally different color. When I went back and looked, the color is now listed as lilac. Why? The iPhone 14 is dark purple. At least the lavender gray was close enough. As far as I can tell, there is no Apple item in lilac that requires charging at this speed. I’ve been a fan of Anker products but these don’t work for me. Maybe I’ll exchange them for white.

Poor Quality Plug Spring

I bought two (2) of these. Within three (3) months the plug spring failed, making it difficult to plug into an electric outlet. I expected better quality from Anker. This appears to be a common problem with this style of spring-loaded plug. We’ll see if Anker will reach out to me and replace it. Until then, buy at your own risk.

I was excited to get the Nano charger because of all the positive reviews I have heard about it. However when I tried it it would charge for 1-2min and would stop charging. I was thinking might be the cord I was using but tried other cords and phone still was doing the same thing. Wanted to process a return but was already dissapointed by the outcome so I guess will just collect dust :(

Not sure if its just this model but this thing broke in a week . Just died out of nowhere... I bought this for my wife a week ago cause the one she bought also died after about 2 weeks of using it , same model , just wont charge any device. We've tested multiple usbs and different bricks and its definitely dead . All we use at my house are Anker changers and this is the only one ive had an issue with. 🙃

There is a reason why phone chargers are mostly big blocks. Its because it prevents then from overheating a problem that this charger has. My phone was super hot after 30 minuets. Overheating a phone will decrease you're battery life or will cause a burned screen. So i do not recommend this charger at all

Does NOT work with iPhone 14 Pro Max

Usually I have no problem with Anker products but this particular charger caused my new iPhone 14 Pro Max to get hot while charging, the charger itself also got hot and this is with using the lightening cable that came with the new iPhone 14 Pro Max. If I hadn’t thrown out the box I would have returned this already(lesson learned to give it a couple days before discarding materials) Better to stick with Apples charging block for a couple dollars more and have zero issues.

I have purchased this charger before and the same thing happens….I wait weeks and eventually get a refund. It just never arrives. Not sure why. I have Amazon packages delivered pretty much on a daily or semi-daily basis and it’s usually 100%. Rarely any issues. But to have this same product not deliver and have to be refunded twice in the same year is a bit odd. …so….I’ll just not order these again on Amazon. I like the product because I own several that were purchased while traveling….they work fantastic!
