Battery is not lasting as long as it did after only a couple of years. My only real issue that has been constant is that my Samsung Tab S7 FE will not charge off this unless I plug a full home charger in to it.

The internal fan normally used to run during 120V charging comes on every 5-7 minutes or so, just for a second. The power is off, the AC mode is disabled, the fan just kicks on for a second then off. I’ve been watching the pack over the course of a couple days and it’s depleting it’s charge in doing this. Other people in the reviews have said the same thing, I ignored this when I decided to buy but will be returning it since the whole point of a battery pack is for it to have charge when I decide I need it.

Yes the unit stays on. Fortunately for me, it is exactly what I wanted: keep a very small load plugged in without having the pack totally turning off. And it does just that. The charging rate usually is between 30-40W on a basic 100W foldable solar panel.

I like to charge my mobile batteries then leave them in my backpack for when I go on a trip. It’s happened on multiple occasions now that I’ll charge this battery and come back to find it completely depleted a week later when I’m on the road. This doesn’t seem like it should be how these batteries work.

This is advertised as having a 97.2Wh capacity. I charged my laptop which has a total battery capacity 69Wh twice while the laptop was off and its batteries depleted to about 3-5% so the Powerhouse should easily be able to fully charge it and still have 40% or so of its capacity left.
In reality, the Powerhouse just barely managed to charge the laptop to about 95% before it was completely depleted. That suggests the actual usable capacity is just around 62Wh, so only around 65% of the advertised capacity.

Style: Anker PowerHouse 90

I purchased this direct from a physical Anker store overseas as the PowerHouse 100 model.

The pros are that this battery pack allows simultaneous USB passthrough charging (you can charge via the 45 watt USB-C port and also output via the 100 watt AC outlet at the same time) and puts out a nice clean Pure Sine Wave.

Negatives are after very minimal use, a year later the cells appear to hold much less than their rated capacity and there appears to be a small vampiric drain happening. Whenever I store the Powerhouse for a week or more fully charged, I return to find the battery totally dead. For the degraded capacity, using a 65 watt laptop charger I can only keep the battery on for about an hour. Considering the 97.2 Wh capacity, this math isn't adding up even when considering the efficiency loss from converting DC to AC and back to DC electricity. Furthermore, my battery is now abnormally hot whenever I use the AC output now.

Recommended changes/improvements to Anker are to fix whatever the vampiric drain issue is and replace the 45-watt USB-C port with a 100-watt port to allow indefinite passthrough charging.
